Today, I will introduce about "Sony lost a lot of personal information of their customers".  77 million individual information and 10 million credit card numbers flowed out by unlawful computer access accident of networking "PlayStation network (PSN)" of game machine PlayStation 3 (PS3) of Sony and PlayStation Portable (PSP).

First, they confirmed abnormal movement to the server and began investigating on April 20. Second, they discovered by there was unlawful computer access on from April 17th to April 19th, and stopped the service of PSN for the serious investigation. Third, they asked that other analysis investigation company in the addition. Fourth, the leakage of information turned out in the result of the investigation. And, attention was drawn on the website.

Individual information that seems that it flowed out by the investigation of Sony it is "Name", "Country and address", "Mail address", "Birthday", "distinction of sex", "Log in password of the PlayStation network", and "Online ID of the PlayStation network".

I think that Sony is invaded by hacker because the vulnerability was not dealt with. If countermeasures were neatly done, unlawful computer access might not have been done. So I think that we need to change my password of account, confirm usage condition of credit card and pay attention the swindle. Moreover, it is necessary to change the password shared by other services. Therefore, Sony should make an effort more to regain the trust of the user side. How did you like my blog ? Thank you for reading to the last minute.

  1. You wrote about necessary things for us concretely. I think so,too. Because, if we have ID and password that use for Sony's online, we must change it. Your idea is correct opinion. Moreover, Sony must prompt to change password. We are very careful in Sony's movement and from now on we must judge myself about trusting Sony.
